At WONDERLAND Christian Preschool we believe

…that preschool is not so much about an age as it is about a continuum of readiness that leads to Kindergarten success.
When choosing a class that is the right fit for your preschooler, it is important to take into consideration several factors. These include, but are not limited to, the number of years your child has before s/he enters Kindergarten and his/her previous learning experiences. Our goal is that each child who leaves our program loves God, serves others and is wonderfully prepared for Kindergarten.
…that children have a unique sense of Jesus’ nature, and are in tune with their spirituality.
Jesus told his disciples not to get in the children’s way when they came to see him. He clearly stated that we must receive God’s Kingdom like a little child. Jesus blessed the children, and took them into his arms. What a wonderful picture this paints of how we, as educators, are to accept children!
…that God’s existence is central to our teachings.
God reveals His nature to His children in several ways. He is revealed through His Word, the Bible. He is revealed through the teachings and life of His Son, Jesus Christ. He is revealed through His creation, the world. Jesus is the mediator between God and people. Jesus died for us so that our sins can be forgiven, and so that we can go directly to God with our praises and prayers. One who accepts Jesus becomes a Christian. The Holy Spirit teaches and guides each Christian to God’s truth.
…that the purpose of education is to nurture and nourish.
Our teachers and assistants prayerfully approach each school day. Lesson content and teaching methods are geared towards each child’s level of understanding. When children are engaged in meaningful activities, treated kindly, and taught to interact with one another, they learn important life-lessons.
…that children succeed when a strong bond forms between family and school.
Although we are not a “co-op” preschool and volunteer hours aren’t a requirement in order to attend WONDERLAND, the assistance provided by family members in our classrooms is a blessing. If you have the desire to help, we can always use extra hands.

Our preschool team is excited to meet your preschooler and welcome your family into ours!

WONDERLAND Class Descriptions & Tuition  (Fall 2017)
WONDERLAND offers preschoolers hands-on learning opportunities. Much of what happens here may look like play…because it is! Play serves an important function in a child’s physical, emotional, cognitive and social development. All classes are structured using social studies and science-based thematic units. Each theme includes a Bible story and memory verse. Preschoolers enjoy cooperative play in learning activity centers. These centers teach children math, science, and pre-literacy concepts through the use of investigation, interaction, imagination, and cooperation. Each class also attends “Chapel” weekly. During this exciting time of worship, children learn to pray, praise and interact with God’s word. We also use this time to bring offerings to the Compassion International child who WONDERLAND sponsors.

For 3s and Young 4s

Two Day Class

T/Th     9:00-11:30 a.m.      $100/month*
This class, designed for 3-year-olds, is perfect for beginners taking their first preschool steps. The two day class is a great introduction to a school setting, where children learn to make good choices, get along with others and gain independence. In addition to the general description above, curriculum in this class focuses on colors, numbers, an introduction to letter names, simple math concepts, and rhyming. This class is recommended for those little ones who are new to being separated from mom.

Three Day Class

M/W/F     9:00-11:30 a.m.     $125/month*
Our 3-Day Class is a great first preschool experience  for 3-year olds and young 4-year olds with summer birthdays who will therefore attend two years of preschool.  Some parents like the idea of an additional day in the preschool week.  Children who have spent time in Sunday School, structured gymnastics classes or other classroom-like settings are probably ready for the 3-day class. The curriculum for this class is very similar to that of the 2-day class, but the additional day provides more time for learning experiences.

For 4s and 5s

Morning Three Day Pre-Kinder
T/W/Th     9:00-11:30 a.m.     $135/month*
This class is a great choice for 4 year olds who are new to the preschool experience, and who will most likely attend Kindergarten the following year; however, they may choose to return to attend one of Wonderland's 4 Day PKs as well.

Morning Four Day Pre-Kinder

M-Th     9:00-11:30 a.m.     $160/month*
This class prepares 4-year-olds for Kindergarten by introducing letter names, sounds, and formation, and important mathematical skills such as patterning, sorting, and grouping in addition to the curriculum description above. Children leaving this class are well-prepared to enter Kindergarten; however, families may still choose to come back for another year of PK.

Afternoon Four Day Pre-Kinder

M-Th     12:30-3:00 p.m.     $160/month*
This class is essentially the same as the morning PK class.  Children in this class graduate ready to tackle Kindergarten, since in addition to the curriculum described above, they are used to actively learning in the afternoon. This prepares children for the longer days they will experience in elementary school.

"Fantastic Friday" Add-a-Day Option
Fridays     9:00-11:30 a.m.     $30/month in addition to Pre-Kinder Tuition*
A pumped up Pre-Kinder curriculum for 4-5 year-old children, Fantastic Friday is designed to supplement our 4-Day PK programs.  If you feel your preschooler is ready for a faith-based challenge in science, social studies and arts, as well as support in developing writing skills, then this class is perfect!  Fantastic Friday is limited to 12 students, and focuses on the developmental writing process, as well as on rhyme families. Both of these concepts are important for success in reading. (Children must be enrolled in one of the Pre-Kinder classes to participate in Fantastic Friday.)

*An annual non-refundable registration fee, which includes supplies, a WONDERLAND t-shirt, and a Bible, holds your child's spot in class.

Additional WONDERLAND Opportunities

Make a reservation for your little one to come and eat their sack lunch, and enjoy a craft and/or play time in a small group setting. Inquire about special weekly/monthly rates.
